First Presbyterian Church of Dayton, KY has a rich heritage of service in Northern Kentucky. Started in 1851, by the young Rev. Dr. John Ervin, First Presbyterian has been a beacon of faith through out generations. In the years since its beginning, First Presbyterian has been blessed to continue to be of service to this ever changing community through worship and mission. In January of 1957, fire tore through the sanctuary, destroying all but the Sunday School wing and the cross on the alter. When the new Sanctuary opened in November of 1958, that cross was there and remains with us today as a reminder that though we may sometimes be tested, we stand strong in Christ.
