One day, while the Holy Prophet صلیاللہ علیہ وسلم was sitting quietly on amountain, Abu Jahal and some others came to him. They laughed and said meanthings to him. Abu Jahal even mocked the Prophet Muhammad صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم by throwingdust on his forehead, which landed on his clothes and face.

Despite this, the Holy Prophet صلیاللہ علیہ وسلم remained silent and didn'trespond. Hamza ibn Abd al-Muttalib رضیاللہ عنہ,upon witnessing this disrespectful act, dismounted his horse and, with his bow,struck Abu Jahal on the head. Even though he had not yet embraced Islam, Hamzaibn Abd al-Muttalib رضی اللہ عنہ loved his nephew, the Prophet Muhammad صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم, deeply.

In response to this attack, Hamza ibn 'Abd al-Muttalib رضی اللہ عنہ declared,“I bear witness that there is no God but Allah and Muhammad صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم is His messenger." Abu Jahal, aware of AmeerHamzah رضی اللہ عنہ strengthand bravery, did not dare to engage in a confrontation and remained silent.

Hamza ibn 'Abd al-Muttalib رضیاللہ عنہ,whom everyone in Mecca feared, carried out his service honorably andunwaveringly until the very end, as a brave defender of the true faith.

How did Hamza رضی اللہ عنہ Die?

Hamza Ibn Abd al-Muttalib رضیاللہ عنہfought with great fearlessness in the Battle ofUhud, and his heroic feats on the battlefield became legendary in Muslimmilitary history. However, tragically, he was martyred in the same battle wherehe had demonstrated dominance attaining the lofty rank among the martyrs of Uhud.

He was killed by the javelin of Wahshi ibn Harb, an Abyssinianslave, who earned his freedom from his master, Jubair bin Mut’im, with thatsuccessful throw. Ameer Hamzah رضیاللہ عنہwas known for maintaining and upholdingfamilial ties and for performing good deeds in great abundance.

His age at the time was 54. The grave of Hamza Ibn Abdul Muttalib رضی اللہ عنہ is nearMount Uhud in Madina, Saudi Arabia.
