Wood Entertainment has secured a Latin American theatrical distribution deal with Cinépolis for the four-part documentary 'Tim Burton: Life in the Line'. Directed by Tara Wood and executive produced by Allen Gilmer and Riki Rushing, this film offers an insightful look into the career of the renowned director, Tim Burton. The documentary features interviews with his frequent collaborators, including Johnny Depp, Winona Ryder, Helena Bonham Carter, Danny DeVito, and Michael Keaton, as well as never-before-seen artwork and personal archives from Burton's private collection.
Cinépolis will release the documentary across 50 cinemas in Mexico and 20 cinemas throughout the rest of Latin America, presenting each chapter as a 'collective cinematic event'. This unique release strategy reflects the film's focus on the importance of imagination and art in a world that often tries to suppress them. Director and producer Wood emphasizes the film's independence, made possible by the support of true patrons of the arts, Allen Gilmer and Riki Rushing, who protected the film from corporate interference.
